What is...?

This weekend I am going to go see the new baby. Chloe turned one month on Saturday already! That first month flew out the window, didn't it? I'm hoping to take some pictures of the new baby and of course, the diva herself as well. Can't wait!

So is it two or three years old when kids start with the why questions? And is it always why? Could it be a what? Haven't heard Emilie with the why's yet but the what's. During Christmas, I spent a few days in the central valley and on Christmas eve, went to midnight mass with Emilie and family. Now we all know the attention span of a three year old is like two seconds, if any at all! Anyhow, Miss Emilie was for the most part pretty good but she just can't seem to turn off the motor off her mouth, nor could she sit still. She did crack me up a few times and almost laughed out loud when she said "What is Amen?" out loud after we had just finished with a prayer and people said "Amen". And during the two seconds that she did pay attention, she blurts out "What is God?" out loud as well after listening to the Father mention God. Now if these are the what questions that are asked by a three year old, I think I'm going to have a hard time coming up with answers for the why's! Is there an answer book for those who, what, why questions out there?

Phone conversations with Emilie

Not sure what to talk about in my blog today so I'll share with you a recent conversation with my three year old goddaughter shortly after the birth of her sister. Such the conversationalist she is.

J: HI Emilie!
E: HI Auntie Jean! (Then comes the blah blah blah part that I can never seem to understand...kid babble?)
More blah blah blah...kid can talk endlessly... with some coherent sentences in between...
J: So what's your sister's name? (Finally I get in sentence!)
E: Chlowee Alwyssa. (The "l"'s are starting to come in... it used to so funny when I asked her what her name was and she would say "Emi-wee" And I would say "Emi-wee?" And she would so "No, Emi-wee!"...so darn cute...she thinks she's saying it with the l!)
E: So when are you coming to my house? When you come to my house, we can go to Chuck E. Cheese! Ok? Bye!

And she manages to give the phone back to her mom without hanging up on me....which she is known for doing... So much for asking how she likes being a big sister but hey, at least she didn't hang up on me!

I finally called to find out about why I haven't seen pictures of Miss Chloe and it turned out Dad couldn't find the my email address so now I finally got some. Here's one for now:

Amazing, how time flies...

I can't believe it's already March! How time flies! Still no pictures of Chloe... I'm getting impatient but I know the Stansburys have their hands full with the new baby and a sick three year old. Oh and Mommy's sick too. Anyhow, went through my email today and discovered pictures of Emilie (my goddaughter) when she was first born... Here is one of Emilie Elizabeth and her daddy, Kevin.
Supposedly Chloe looks a lot like her. And now look at my little monster diva:
