Happy Chinese New Year!

Oooh! My sad little blog has been neglected.... oops! Anyhow, this weekend is Chinese New Year. It's the year of the Dog. So gung hay fat choy! That's the Cantonese way. I don't know how to spell the Mandarin way...sorry. I'm a pathetic Chinese person. Can't read or write it but speak with basic vocabulary. I used to know more words in Chinese when I was a little kid... makes me wonder how I learned English....besides school...

Taipei, Taiwan...was born there. Showed up a month early, right in the middle of my parent's immigration...I guess I was in competition with my cousin, Edie who was born on the same day...just different time zone and country

Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada (a suburb of Vancouver...near where Michael J Fox was from)
Fremont, CA, USA (went to high school with Kristi Yamaguchi...she was a senior and I was a lowly little freshman who was too chicken to ask for her autograph)

Four places I've been to on vacation:
Parts of Europe...Wales (my ex came from here), London (loved it), Paris, Ibiza, Barcelona, Madrid (where I thought a homeless person lying in the middle of the sidewalk was dead...I didn't bother to poke him to see).
New York City with girlfriends for our 30th
Mexico...Cancun, Ensenada, Rosarito, Tijauna and other parts too like Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas (but was part of a cruise boat...so only got to see bits and pieces of it)
various states...did a road trip this summer when my friend moved to Maryland and as a young kid, mom and dad took us on many road trips
